Julie Hyde

Julie has extensive experience of management in the childcare and education sectors, having previously gained commercial sales and training experience working in industry as both a Regional and National Account Manager. Her childcare career began as a committee member and fundraiser for a charity Playgroup before becoming a full time member of the team. Subsequently, Julie moved on to become a Childcare Manager, where she established her passion for ensuring that children have a safe, healthy place to learn and develop. Julie then joined CACHE in 2010 as a Regional Manager and in 2011 was appointed Senior National Development Manager. In 2013 she was promoted to Director of Business Development where she directed the development of high quality vocational qualifications for both learners and employers in care, health and education. Today, as CACHE Director and part of NCFE, Julie ensures that our rich heritage and reputation as the UK’s leading sector specialist endures and that our qualifications continue to improve the skills level and professional standards of the childcare, adult care, education and health care workforce.

  • Encouraging on-going and meaningful dialogue around skills policy between enterprise, education providers and government
  • Understanding the impact of traineeships, adult re- and upskilling, new technology and the delivery of T-levels on employers
  • Reducing government bureaucracy and ensuring that there is enough flexibility in the skills and employment system
  • Reviewing the impact of apprenticeships on micro businesses and SMES’s and best practice for balancing the off the job training requirement for apprentices
